How it goes

  1. You tell us the car, we quote a fixed price.Registration, or year, make and model plus whether it is keyless. Two minutes on the phone.
  2. A technician is dispatched with your blank in the van.Live ETA by text — around 27 minutes on average across Crawley.

Can you make a key with no original?

Yes — most of our key work is all-keys-lost. We cut to the VIN and program from scratch at the car.

What do I need to prove the car is mine?

Photo ID plus the V5C logbook, or a hire/lease agreement in your name. If the V5C is inside the locked car we can usually work around it — mention it when you ring.

Which cars can you not do at the roadside?

A small number of very recent premium models need main-dealer-only tooling. We will tell you on the call, before anyone is dispatched and before you have paid anything.

How long does it take?

Most keys are cut, programmed and tested within 40 minutes of arriving. EEPROM work on older immobilisers can take up to two hours.

Does the old key still work afterwards?

Only if you want it to. If your keys were lost or stolen we delete them from the car’s memory, which is the entire point of doing it properly.
